We are recruiting a Business Development Manager, based in our Glasgow HQ. You’ll secure new business with organisations in Scotland, selling technology solutions across our entire range of services: Security, Unified Communications, Networking & Connectivity, Mobile and Managed IT. The role would suit an experienced technology salesperson looking for a new challenge, someone in the tech industry who is looking to develop their career, or a sale professional within another industry.

 

Key day-to-day responsibilities

  • Researching potential customers to find new business opportunities
  • Growing a new business pipeline through calling, social selling, email outreach, customer meetings and industry events
  • Presenting solutions to existing and prospective customers
  • Working towards agreed KPIs to drive high levels of performance and achievement
  • Developing a strong market understanding, building relationships and networking
  • Providing highly effective account management to support your customers’ technology strategies, introducing them to the full range of solutions and services in the Silver Cloud portfolio
  • Collaborating with your colleagues in the sales team, across the wider business and with external partners, to help drive the growth of your customer base and the Silver Cloud business
  • Achieving agreed sales targets on a regular basis through a methodical approach and highly effective sales execution

 

As you become established in the role, you’ll have the opportunity to focus on enhancing the relationships you’ve built, and selling additional solutions and services to those customers. It will become an entrepreneurial role in which we’ll expect you to take responsibility for building your part of the business, with the full backing of the management team. You’ll have a lot of influence over how much you earn and how you develop.

You will report to Mark Robertson, Chief Commercial Officer.

  • Highly motivated, a quick learner and very well organised
  • A high level of verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong negotiator who can consistently deliver ‘win-win’ outcomes

 

Hours

37.5 hours a week, with the opportunity for flexible working arrangements. (Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm, with an hour for lunch.)

 

Salary

Competitive basic salary + OTE with uncapped earning potential.
