Overview

We are recruiting for a Senior IT Engineer to join our expanding IT team, which provides Managed IT Services to a wide customer base. Working as part of a team, you will provide excellent customer service/technical expertise to both customers and the internal business.

As a Senior Engineer, you will be expected to take technical escalations from other members of the team and to follow these to resolution. You will also provide mentoring for junior members of the team.

Responsibilities

• Provisioning and maintaining Windows Server/Desktop solutions.
• Provisioning and maintaining Office365 solutions (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive etc).
• Maintaining networks and network services (Firewalls/Switching).
• Providing technical support and assistance to employees and customers.

Skills and knowledge

• Experience of all of the following is essential: Microsoft Server,Active Directory admin, Hyper-V Virtualisation and Office 365.
• It is also critical to be able to learn new skills, plan and work independently.
• Experience of all the following is desirable: MS Azure, MS Intune/Configuration Manager, Fortinet, Unifi, Aruba Switching, Meraki, VMWare.

Competences

• At least 5 years’ IT support experience.
• Able to plan new projects and prioritise tasks accordingly.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Can work effectively in a team.
• Can communicate at all levels and in a knowledge‐led manner.
• Dynamic and energetic in your approach.
• Capable of working to tight deadlines.

Salary and Conditions

Salary £30-35k, depending on experience. Normal place of work is Bridgeton, Glasgow and on customers’ premises as required.
